If you have clinicians who learned to write prescriptions with common short hand terms, the Prescription Quick Texts allows you to assign these common shortcuts over to the expanded definition associated with them.
This will prevent your pharmacy staff from having to manually rewrite these instructions on every prescription. To add a new shorthand text, click on Add and enter the value that is used by your clinicians as well as the correct interpretation of that value.
Another method of preventing confusing is to help your clinicians set up the most commonly prescribed courses of drugs as Drug Profiles on the product setup page. The shorthand texts will also be read and translated on the profiles. Inactive Quick Texts will not be picked up by the profiles or by the prescriptions requests. |
