The Admission Screen in VetView has two parts: The Admission Search Screen and the individual Pre-Admission Screen or PA screen that is created for every episode for a patient. Admission Search ScreenThe Admission Search Screen is accessed by clicking on the Admission button on the header bar. Image Added This screen has two sections: The Admission Search options at the top, and the Search Results at the bottom. You can also create a New Admission by clicking on the button at the very top. Admission Search ParametersImage Added All of the search parameters can be used in conjunction with one another. For example, you can search for a specific PA if you know the patient's case number and the date. Or you can search for a cluster of episodes, such as all the canines that were seen in the year 2020, or all the currently open episodes for one particular unit. The total count of episodes appears in the upper right hand corner of the Search Results. This search screen is also helpful for research when identifying episodes for patients based on keyword, breed, etc.
Click on the Search button to load results matching the parameters. To clear out any parameters and start over, click on the Reset button. Set Default SearchIf you frequently search for a specific set of parameters, you can click on Set Default Search to save those settings. They will load on this screen the next time you return. You can also click on Remove Defaults to clear out the previous settings. Admission Search ResultsThe results will load in the bottom half of the screen. The PA#, Case No, Patient ID, and Contacts are all hot links to other screens in the system. Use CTRL+Click to open these in a new tab if you don't want to lose your results. Image Added
