Overview

  • Provides the ability to view, and edit, drug profiles, draft terms, generic information, labels, information sheets, and interactions and warnings, for the selected Prescription product.

Drug Profiles subtab

  • Provides the ability to view, add, and edit, Drug Profiles for a Pharmacy Product.
    • Drug Profiles - Multiple drug profiles can be created for a pharmacy product.  Profiles are accessed on the 'Prescription Fill' screen.

Draft Terms Setup subtab

  • Provides the ability to view, add, and edit, Draft Terms for a Pharmacy Product.
    • Prescription Request Defaults and Filters
      • Verb
      • Unit
      • Frequency
      • Route
      • Duration

Generic subtab

  • Provides the ability to view, add, and edit, the Generic Products associated with a Pharmacy Product.
    • Other drugs related to generic - View other drugs related to the selected generic.

Generic Info subtab

  • Provides the ability to view Generic Info for a Pharmacy Product.
    • Interactions and Warnings
    • Auxiliary Labels
    • Drug Information Sheets

Auxiliary subtab

  • Provides the ability to view, add, and delete, Auxiliary Labels, and Drug Information Sheets, for a Pharmacy Product.
    • Auxiliary Labels

Product Interactions & Warnings subtab

  • Provides the ability to view, add, and delete Drug Interactions & Warnings for Pharmacy Products.
    • Generic (Species / Breed Interactions
    • Weight (Species / Breed) Interactions
    • Age (Species / Breed) Interactions
    • Patient Alert Related Interactions
    • Product Interactions
    • Generic Interactions
    • Diagnosis Interactions
    • Custom Interactions

Product Interactions & Warnings report

  • Provides the ability to print the Interactions and Warnings for Pharmacy Products.

Navigation

  1. Click the 'Navigation' button on the VetView button bar at the top of the screen.

  2. Select the 'Product Setup' hyperlink.

  3. Search for a pharmacy product.

  4. Select the product and click the 'Edit' button; or, click on the 'Product Name' hyperlink.

  5. Click on the 'Prescription Setup' tab.

    1. The 'Prescription Setup' option must be selected for the 'Prescription Setup' tab to appear.

The availability of menu items is controlled by privileges that are assigned to each user, so the 'Navigation Menu' will not look the same for all users.
