Elevate Privileges provide the User with access to various functionality at the Hospital Unit level. The User can be granted the Elevated Privilege, or they can belong to a Security Role which is granted the Elevated Privilege.
  • For each Inventory Area (Hospital Unit):

    • The ‘Inventory’ Elevated Privilege can be assigned to a User.

      • Users who have this elevated privilege, will have access to inventory functionality for the Inventory Area (Hospital Unit).

    • The ‘Inventory’ Elevated Privilege can be assigned to a Security Role.

      • Users who have this Security Role, will have access to the inventory functionality for the Inventory Area (Hospital Unit).


To Configure the Inventory Elevated Privilege:

  1. Navigate to the 'Hospital Setup' screen → 'Unit Setup' tab.

  2. Select a Hospital Unit (Inventory Area).

  3. In the 'Unit Details' subtab → 'Use For' section, insure that the 'Inventory Unit' option is selected.

  4. Navigate to the 'Assigned Users' subtab.

    1. Click the ‘Add’ button; OR,

    2. Select the row that represents an existing ‘Employee’, and click the ‘Edit’ button.

    3. Select the 'Inventory' elevated privilege option.

    4. Click the ‘Save’ button to save and close the dialog; OR,

    5. Click the ‘Cancel’ button to close the dialog without saving.

  5. Alternatively, navigate to the 'Assigned Roles' subtab.

    1. Click the ‘Add’ button; OR,

    2. Select the row that represents an existing ‘Role’, and click the ‘Edit’ button.

    3. Select the 'Inventory' elevated privilege option.

    4. Click the ‘Save’ button to save and close the dialog; OR,

    5. Click the ‘Cancel’ button to close the dialog without saving.
