VetView Major Pharmacy Screens
The pharmacy module in VetView is designed to support internal pharmacies within your teaching hospital, and to allow your clinicians to write prescriptions intended to be filled at external pharmacy locations if your client requests it. VetView also allows pharmacies with a retail license to fill prescriptions from pharmacies outside of your hospital.
The pharmacy features are a combination of discrete pharmacy-only modules, such as the Pharmacy Fill Queue, and sections integrated into other parts of the hospital software, such as the medication tab on the Patient Record, or the refill option on the Point of Sales screen.
The major screens that incorporate pharmacy features and functions within VetView include:
- Pharmacy Setup Page and Subtabs (for administrators)
- Patient Record – Medications Record Group
- Patient Record – Medications Tab
- Patient Record – Prescription Fill Form
- Pharmacy Fill Queue
- Prescription Search Screen
- Point of Sales Screen
- Drug Management Queue
- Drug Disposal Form
- Controlled Drug Logs
- Hospital Portal Medications Page
The major reports in VetView include:
- Vaccine report (a list of all vaccines given over the life time of a patient)
- Prescriptions dispensed report (a list of all prescriptions issued at the pharmacy, including those filled from outside clinician requests)
- Prescription Details audit report (all changes over the life of a prescription from request to fill)
- Drug Usage /Waste Management report (all changes for a filled drug once it is dispensed for inpatient use)
In addition, you may build custom reports from the data gathered from VetView using iReports, if there are additional reports required by your State Board of Pharmacy.
