Report Setup page

Reports are the catch-all term for printable objects accessible in VetView. VetView utilizes NetBeans, in which a "bean" is a part of the system data that the reports can all access, and then you can arrange the beans along with customized fixed data in a report template system, such as iReport. We strongly recommend you identify someone on your team who can handle the programmatic data side of these reports and grant them access to this part of the system, to allow you to customize your reports locally. Note that new "beans" will require program changes from VetView, but any template changes made locally can be uploaded and put into your test environments immediately.

Under our main Navigation menu, users with the privilege to access Hospital Report Setup can view, edit, and deactivate reports used throughout the system. Pharmacy reports are stored under several different report types, including:

  • Prescription List (Prescription Search Results)
  • Vaccines
  • Prescription Labels (what will print on the bottles for your medications)
  • Prescription Data Cards
  • External Prescriptions (to be given to clients to be filled elsewhere)
  • CDM Logs (see Controlled Drug Machine Logs for this report)

A system template is included for all these reports, from which you can modify the report to meet the requirements of your state or province's Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
