User Management (Privileges)

User Management Privileges

The User Management system allows an administrator to create new users and to change attributes about them, beyond the privileges allowed under the User Profile.

Privileges under this section can allow an admin to modify permissions for other users, so this screen should be limited to managers and higher level administrators who can make those decisions.

Privilege	Description	Screens
User Management	Top level privilege that grants initial access to the User Management screen. Without this privilege, the screen is not visible under Navigation.	Navigation
Edit Supervising Faculty	Allows the user to assign or remove other users as the supervisor. This privilege may be granted to unit managers, or to managers of students who change student assignments during clinical rotations.	User Management
Access User Rights	Secondary privilege required to make any changes to the users in the system. When the User Management privilege is granted without the Access User Rights privilege, the person may search for users but cannot load a user's profile screen.	User Management
Create Users	Allows the administrator to create new users in the system.	User Management
User Privileges	Allows the administrator to assign roles to the user.	User Management
Update User	Allows the administrator to save changes to a user profile.	User Management
Modify User Lab Settings	Allows the administrator to make changes to the lab settings on a user account.	User Management
Modify User Hospital Settings	Allows the administrator to make changes to the hospital settings on a user account.	User Management
Change Username	Allows the administrator to change the username.	User Management
