How do I assign colors to my episode statuses?

How do I assign colors to my episode statuses on the Schedule?
VetView allows you to customize the colors as they appear on your hospital’s schedule. You can choose high contrast colors for visibility, or set up a theme to match your university’s colors.
A base set of colors will load by default with all appointments linked to episodes in New, Appointment Scheduled, Open, or Admitted status as a blue color, all appointments in Discharged or Closed status as a tan color, and all appointments that are cancelled, on Hold, or set as No Show in a red color. Open slots will display as white, and Blocked time slots and days will appear as pink.
Where do I set the schedule colors?
Under Unit Setup, go to the Schedule Setup > Color Setup tab.
To choose a color, click on the small box next to the status name.
You can select from the basic color chart that displays by default, or you can use your university's official color branding if you know the hex code values.
You can also open up a full spectrum color picker by clicking on the small rainbow circle. This allows you to enter in RGB values as well as hex code values.
How do I change the text color on each of my calendar slots?
VetView allows a limited choice between black and white text.
For the Episode Status boxes, the schedule will display a mini preview of how each cell will appear on your calendar, so that you can select the most appropriate text color for visibility.
How do I tell my unit schedule to use the color settings of the parent unit schedule?
To minimize the initial setup, you can apply changes to a higher unit level, and have them roll down to each sub unit.
Color Setup can be done even on units that do not themselves have schedules. In this manner, a Large Animal hospital or Request Areas can have the colors set up, and each of the colors inherited by child units.
On the Color Setup tab, click on Inherit from Parent.
The parent's colors will be picked and applied. Unlike the individual unit when this is not checked, you cannot modify the colors or the text, but you will still get a preview of how they will look.
If you uncheck inherit from parent, the parent's colors will remain visible, but you will gain the ability to tweak them again. Be sure to Save changes before exiting.
What do the icons mean on the Color Setup tab?
We have provided a key for the schedule icons that are used on the main schedule screen page. As of version 4.0 these icons cannot be customized, so this key is provided to allow you to understand what each of the icons represents on an appointment.
