Deficiencies on the Patient List

Deficiencies on the Patient List

How can I see which of my episodes have incomplete work on them?

Under My Open Episodes, a list of all current episodes for which the logged in user is listed as Personnel will appear.

Deficiencies, or incomplete work on these episodes, will appear in their own column.  The Medical Record Group that is missing or incomplete will be listed.

Click on the Episode number to jump to the episode and fill in the missing information.

Empty Grroups

As of Versions 2.2.1 and 3.0 a deficient Medical Record Group will display on this list even if the document on the patient record is missing.  In earlier versions, the group only displayed if the document was present but not verified.

How can I see which Discharged episodes are considered deficient in the system?

If you collapse the My Open Episodes section, the second group on this screen is Deficient Discharged Episodes.  Just like the previous group, any missing parts of the record will appear in the deficiencies column, and you can jump directly to the episode to correct the issue by clicking on the Episode number in the first column.

How can I keep episodes that aren't deficient on the patient record after Discharge?

If there is additional work that needs to be done on a patient record that doesn't necessarily make it deficient, during the Discharge process you can click on Hold On Patient List.

This option is also available from the Patient List itself, if you right click on a patient from My Open Episodes or Deficient Discharged Episodes.

These episodes then appear in a section called Held on Patient List so you don't lose them, even after the deficiencies on the medical record have been corrected.
