Report Setup Tab
The Report Setup Tab is where you define the emails that will be used to send out the PDF versions of the accession reports and other reports. You can have a different cover letter for emails and faxes if you want.
Each report uses VetView's Placeholders to pull in client and report data, providing a personalized cover letter instead of a generic one. You can also use basic rich text formatting to keep the cover letters organized.
Accession Report
This is the report that will be sent out when an accession is finalized.
Placeholders
To add a placeholder to the report, click on the green plus button document icon to the right of the report field.
A list of all the possible placeholders will appear.
Click on the placeholder you want to add.
It will be added to the bottom of the document.
You can then cut and paste it wherever you need it.
Placeholders are simple text inside brackets and can also be manually written out if you know the exact code you want.
Preview Report
Click on the magnifying glass icon to open a preview of the report cover letter.
You may be prompted to select the bill party or other client, so that their information will pull into the placeholder and let you see what a live example would look like.
Statement Report
The Statement report is the report that will be sent as the cover letter in front of the PDF statements when you process accounting statements.
Collection Letter
The Collection Letter is the email or fax cover letter that will be sent when an account is in arrears and has gone to collections.
Send Report (Manual Send)
For preliminary reports, you can have a slightly different cover letter for the fax or email. This manual report can also have a disclaimer that preliminary results are not final, or that charges may not be complete.
