Hospital Request Details Screen

Hospital Request Details Screen

The Request Details Screen is accessed from multiple locations in the Hospital module - from the Request Worklist, the Request Search screen, from the Schedule screen, and also from the Patient Record.

It consists of a patient demographics section at the top, and a series of tabs with options available for the request.  These tabs and options are dynamic and will change depending on the request status.

Demographics Cards

These are similar to the demographics cards displayed on the Admission Screen and the Patient Record.  On the Request Details screen, they are in a Read Only state, and are displayed for informational purposes.  A card unique to the Request Details screen is the Request card, which has a high level overview of the request dates and status.

Additional information is available using the info dots on Patient and Owners.

Tabs

The request details screen sorts each Request Item into its own tab.

Additionally, when you performed a search that had multiple request results, forward and backward arrows may appear. This allows the user to navigate quickly through requests - for example, a supervisor reviewing requests may use this tool to see each Preliminary request without going back to the search screen.

Resend Request (PACS only)If a request was sent to an external PACs system automatically after being accepted, but changes have been made to the request since then,  the option to Resend Request may appear as a button on this screen.

Request Questions

If there are any questions associated either with the specific Catalog Item, or with the Catalog from which the request was selected, then the requesting clinical staff must fill them out on the Patient Record as part of the request process.  Those questions and answers will appear at the top of the Main Request Tab to be reviewed by the request unit prior to accepting the request.  If any information is missing or incorrect, the request may be rejected.

Digital Document and Request Report

Below the button bar, the Digital Documents as assigned to the request Catalog Item.  This section is comprised of form elements that the unit who received the request should fill out as part of the procedure.

For more information on designing digital documents, please see the Catalog Setup screens.

Charges Tab

This tab is where the Request unit can add in their charges associated with the procedure.

A pick list can be set up to work with these charges, or they can be added ad hoc.  You can also create a Request Package that contains all of the charges associated with a given procedure, and add it to the bill instead of individual charges.

Attachments Tab

This tab allows you to attach documents to the request.  You can also indicate whether these should be attached and printed along with the Request Report when applicable.

Use this tool to attach any surgical reports or images from third party equipment.
