Hospital Request Worklist Screen

Hospital Request Worklist Screen

The Request Worklist screen is designed to fulfill two functions:  It can act as a kiosk view for your unit and display incoming requests, and also act as a more robust means of sorting requests as assigned to teams.  An alarm can be designated to go off each time a new incoming request arrives.   Unlike the Request Search screen, this screen has an automatic refresh built in, so it can be set on as a passive display and referenced even without any additional interaction.

The Request Worklist is accessed under Navigation > Request Worklist. Access is governed by a unique privilege. You must also be a member of at least one Request Unit to see any requests.

Request Worklist Header

The screen contains a header bar with limited search options that are set once and left alone, and a results list.

FieldDescription
Service UnitThe unit for the requests to be displayed.  Multiple units can be selected, but the user must be a member of the unit for them to appear.
EmployeeLimits the results to those for which a specific employee has been assigned.  This allows you to display only requests assigned to a certain clinician on a kiosk or screen.
RefreshRefreshes the screen manually with the selected settings.  The settings chosen will stay on this screen until you leave it.  Settings can be saved permanently under the Results list.
Refresh TimerTells the screen how often to passively refresh.  This can be between 60-140 seconds.  If you have slow network speeds and many requests, a longer refresh time may improve performance,
(Time Period)This unnamed field contains choices of Day, Week, Month.  For a kiosk view, setting this to only display this day's incoming requests may keep the view less cluttered.  For a user planning ahead or scheduling requests, a week or month view may be more useful.
Scheduled OnlyLimits the displayed results to those which are already scheduled.  May be especially useful for a kiosk view in a unit's rounds room.
AlarmIndicates whether the screen should play an alarm when a new request is incoming.

Request Worklist Results

Results can be sorted by any of the columns.

Customize the Worklist Columns

Like the Request Search screen, the output columns on the Request Worklist can be customized.

Right click anywhere on the column headers to open the menu.  You can add or remove columns, and move columns left and right.

This is also where you can Save your search preferences as set up in the header at the top of the screen.
