Custom Web Service Interfaces

Custom Web Service Interfaces
VetView version 2.1 and later supports custom Web Service Interfaces using API commands. Similar to the VetView Portal job, the Web Service Interface job generates a unique token and allows the main VetView app to communication with external apps that have the token.
Unlimited custom web applications can be added. VetView has three example projects available in the Bitbucket - a Specimen Tracking app, a Quick Accession app, and a Prescription Status Board. Each of these apps can have a unique token that sends and receives communications from the web app.
Settings
The settings for the Web Service Interface are simple. The active flag indicates it is available and ready to turn on, but it must also be Enabled to allow VetView to send and receive messages using the specified token.
This allows you to temporarily turn off access to the external app without losing the stored key or any other settings in the main VetView app.
