General Description
This screen is used to setup test results, which can then be added to tests. These result fields show up on individual tests on the Result Entry screen.

1 | Result Name | Enter the result name you wish to search for here. |
2 | Standard Code | Can be used as an identifier for an external system (e.g. SNOMED). |
3 | Result Type | Select the result type you wish to search for here. |
4 | Search Results Area | The results of your search show here. When you first open this screen, all results are populated here. |
5 | Add Result Button | Click here if you wish to add a new result to the database. |

Number | Name | Description |

1 | Result Type | This dropdown box chooses the type of data this result will contain. This changes which options you'll need to specify in the boxes below this dropdown. |
2 | Precision | Number of digits after the decimal that you want to show up. |
3 | Delta Checkbox | Number of days in between tests that will trigger. |
4 | Diff Key | Assigns a key to this result. This is used when using the Diff popup on a test like a CBC. |
5 | Calculation | This field is used to enter a formula if you wish this test result to represent a calculation between two or more other results on the same test. You can use standard math operators (e.g. + - * / ) and parentheses for grouping. You must reference result fields by their exact name (case matters). Example: ([RBC]*[RETICULOCYTE])*10 |
6 | Method | Method is the type of machine the result is run on. |
7 | Standard Code | Can be used as an identifier for an external system (e.g. SNOMED). |
8 | Sent Via Interface | If checked, this result is sent through to your instrument interface (e.g. Data Innovations). |
9 | Interface Test Code | An identifier that references a test code on an interface. (i.e. WBC, RBC, etc.) |
10 | Interface Machine Code | Can be used to define the intended hardware that a particular test or tests is being run on. |
11 | Reference Ranges Tab | This is where you can add/edit/delete the reference ranges associated with this test result. (See below) |
12 | Macros Tab | This is where you can add/edit/delete macros associated with this test result. (See below) |
13 | Worksheet Order | This number affects the order the result displays on a Worksheet. The results display from highest number of the left to lowest number on the right. |

Number | Name | Description |

1 | Method | Method is the type of machine the result is run on. |
2 | Suppress | If this is "Y" then this reference range will not appear on the report. |
3 | Default Range | If this is selected, this range will be the default range for any results that do not fall into another category. |
4 | Result | This is where you specify the details pertaining to a range. The range is the number you list |
5 | Flag | The character you enter here, shows up on the report (usually 'H' or 'L' for high/low). |
6 | Display | If the result is in the specified range, whatever is put in this field will be listed on the report instead of the actual value. |
7 | Recheck | If the result entered is in this specified range, VetView will prompt the user to ensure he/she entered the correct value. |
8 | Reflex Test | If the result entered is in this specified range, the test entered here will be automatically added to the accession. |

1 | Employee | If an employee is specified here, the macro entered will only be available to him/her. If "Everyone" is selected, the macro will available to all. |
2 | Test | The tests displayed here will be the tests that have at least one of the result type currently being edited. If a test is selected, the current macro will only be available on that test. If "All Tests" is chosen, the macro will available to all tests (with the current result type). |
