VetView allows for session monitoring and invalidation on Tomcat installations.  This can be useful for logging out a user who has encountered an error, seeing the local connections on a specific machine, or for testing and troubleshooting purposes, ensuring a user is on the most recent installation of VetView.

Log In to Tomcat Manager

You will need the username and password of the Tomcat installation, and the URL for the manager.  For most installations, this will be the IP Address of the machine where VetView is installed, and then /manager.html on the end of the IP address.

Tomcat Web Application Manager

Once you have logged in, you will see a list of any VetView builds (on development and test machines there may be multiple deployments at once), and the different VetView applications.

View Sessions

Click on the number under the Sessions column to view the users currently logged into that deployment.

Invalidate Sessions

To kick a user from a specific session, select the user by checking the box above the session ID, and click on Invalidate Selected Sessions.  This will log the user out of VetView, and they will log in to the most recent deployment next time they access the main VetView log in page.
