General Description

This screen is used to set up Sections and Workstations to be associated with a particular laboratory.  Each Section can have zero or more Workstations assigned to it.  Tests are associated with particular Sections and Workstations to help organize work in VetView.

Section & Workstation Tab

Each Lab in VetView can have sub sections, and each section can have discrete workstations.  This information can be useful for searching for accessions and for building certain reports.

Lab Sections

Sections can be added to any lab.

The Sections tab will display any existing sections in the left panel.  Click on a section to view any workstations associated with the section.

Add New Section

Click on the Add New Section button to create a new section in the lab.  A window will appear with options to name the section, give it a name as it will appear on the Portal, and to add in a unique Section Report Header and Section Report Footer.  This header and footer are optional.

The Header and Footer can be changed for a section at any time.  Click on the pencil icon next to a section to open this window and adjust them.

Sort Sections

To sort how sections will appear on reports and within VetView, select the name of the section, and use the Up and Down arrows to move it.

Lab Workstations

A section can have an unlimited number of workstations.

Add New Workstation

To add a new Workstation, select the section that you want to add it to.  Click on the Add New Workstation button.

A small window to give the workstation a name will appear.

Sort Workstations

Like the sections, the workstations can be sorted using the Up and Down arrows to adjust how they appear in certain parts of the system.
