The Pharmacy Fill Queue is an interactive worklist containing prescriptions in varying statuses. Statuses can be sorted into groups to allow only the most relevant prescriptions to be visible on an individual user basis.
Pharmacy Queue HeaderThe Header section on the Pharmacy queue is a single row that contains basic options to control what prescriptions are visible, how often the queue refreshes, and whether new prescriptions sound an alarm or not. Image Added
Daily Fill List and LabelsClicking on the Print Daily Fill List button will open a small window. Select the date, the statuses, and how you want the printed list to be sorted, and then click the Print List button to open a PDF. Image Added If there are no eligible prescriptions to print, you will receive a warning. Double check the dates and statuses and try again. Mass Cancel Prescriptions FeatureImage Added Administrators with this privilege can click on the ban sign icon and option a window to bulk cancel prescriptions. Only one status of prescriptions can be cancelled at a time. Select the status and the date, and then click on Cancel Scripts. For prescriptions that are approved or in process , you can use this tool to clear out any legacy data from a migration (e.g. scripts older than 1 year ago that would be cancelled even if they had been filled.) Image Added Pharmacy Fill Queue ColumnsThe Pharmacy Fill Queue is a worklist layout, with columns that can be sorted, and group headings to split the prescriptions into relevant statuses. Columns and Groups can also be hidden using the right click menu. By default, certain columns are hidden. You can add these columns back, or remove columns you will not use in your workflow. You can also rearrange the order of columns so that important information on the list is grouped together. Add ColumnsRight click on any column name and mouse over Add Column. A list of available columns will appear. Choose the column you want to add, and it will be added to the header row. Image Added Remove ColumnsIf there is a column you do not need, right click the specific column and choose Remove Column. The column will be removed from the row. You can add it back if you discover later on that you did need to see it. Image Added Move ColumnsColumns can be shifted on the layout by using the Move Left and Move Right buttons. Use these to rearrange the order of information on each prescription row. Image Added Sort By ColumnClick on the column header directly to sort by that column. Note that columns will only sort within their group heading. Image Added Save ChangesRight click on the column header row and click on Save Changes to store all of your layout changes in your user profile. The next time you load the Prescription Queue, it will keep your saved changes and load the screen exactly as you left it. Prescription Fill Queue GroupsThe Fill Queue Groups break up the Pharmacy Fill Queue into sections based on the prescription status or the type, in the case of Daily Fills. These groups can be expanded and collapsed as needed, or even removed entirely from the queue when the user doesn't need to see prescriptions in that status. For example, a chief pharmacist may want to have an overview of all prescriptions in all statuses, including ones that have been requested but not approved, in order to manage the incoming workload over the course of the day. If many prescriptions have been requested but not approved, then there may be an expectation of incoming work in the next few hours once they do get approved. Conversely, a pharmacy tech may not need to see requested scripts, or prescriptions on hold that may never be approved. These groups can be safely removed from their personal queues so that they can focus on Approved and In Process prescriptions. Add GroupRight click on any group name, and mouse over the Add Group button to display a list of available groups. Select the group you want to add and then click on the group name. The new group will become visible on the Pharmacy queue. Image Added Remove GroupRight click on the specific group you want to remove and then click on Remove Group. The group will disappear from the queue. If you removed a group by accident, you can add it back at any time. Image Added Collapse or Expand GroupsClick on the small carat next to the Group Name to expand or collapse the group. When collapsed, all prescriptions in the group will disappear and the carat will point to the right. When expanded, all prescriptions in the group will be visible and the carat will point down. Image Added Sort GroupsGroups can be sorted up and down. When they move, all prescriptions within their group will move in them. You can have the most important prescriptions at the top of your personal queue, but keep other prescriptions visible at the bottom to monitor them. Image Added Save ChangesRight click on any group and click on the Save button to save the settings you just made to your user account. The next time you load the pharmacy screen, the settings you saved will already be in place. Prescription Right Click OptionsThe prescription rows have their own right click menu. You can Open a prescription or Edit Fill Information. This menu changes depending on the type of prescription and the status it is currently in. Image Added Open Prescription opens the Prescription Fill Screen, which is covered on a separate page from this. Edit Fill Information opens a small window to make high level adjustments to the prescription without opening it all the way. Edit Fill InformationThis window allows you to quickly change the priority of the prescription or add a note in Fill Comments, You can also manually add a prescription flag if your pharmacy's processes use those for a workflow. Image Added Ready for Pickup and Mark Picked upPrescriptions in the status of Ready for Pickup will have a right click option to Mark Picked Up. Image Added This opens a window to select multiple prescriptions for the same patient to pick up, and to enter in the name of the employee who is picking up the prescriptions and thus is ultimately responsible for them. Other opens for Picked Up By include the client, or indicating that the prescription was delivered to the unit or mailed out. Image Added Status ColorsYour pharmacy administration has the option to assign specific colors to patient statuses. This may make it easier to prioritize your pharmacy queue's workload and focus on the prescriptions in a more urgent status. In the example below, ASAP/Stat status prescriptions are highlighted to help them stand out from the rest of the queue. Image Added |
