Request Setup Tab

The Request Setup Tab allows you to add specific clients who are allowed to submit incoming requests (either using VetView Hospital or the VetView API commands via the Portal) and if necessary, map certain species to species settings to them (as submitted species may not match your internal species list.)  These mapped accounts can then be modified or deleted as necessary.

Request Clients

The left panel displays clients who are allowed to submit requests.   (All others must submit a completed Accession alongside their specimen.)

Add New Request Client

Click Add to add a new request client.   A small window will appear to search for clients.  This is a smart search box, so begin typing in the name of the client you are looking for.  Select them from the list that appears, and then click on the Save button,

Mapping

If your Request submissions come in with data in a different text string than you have saved in VetView, you can map that text string to your internal settings, and have this translated automatically each time a request is received.

Image Added

Available mappings include Species, Breeds, Tests, Sex, Specimens, Clients and Tags.  Click on the Mappings Type button to switch.

Add New Mapped Value

Click on the Add button to add a new mapped value for the selected mapping.

For example, if a client's Request system submits "dog" as the species, you can have it automatically switch to Canine in VetView, preventing an Error on the Request screen.

Delete One or All Mappings

Individual mappings can be manually deleted.

If your client is switching their Request system, you can purge all mappings and start over.
