Address Setup

The Address Setup page allows you to control how ZIP/postal codes, cities, states, counties, and countries are linked.

Data from an existing UVIS installation can be imported as part of migration, but the setup screen allows you to manage ZIP or postal codes and cities as they are updated.

You can also add missing countries, counties, cities, ZIP, or postal codes as you need to, if you have clients who come from other places.

By linking the state, city, county, and ZIP together, you can automate the most common data for your client base.

Add a new region to VetView

First, change the Region Type to the type that you want to add, and click on Search.  This will change the Add button to match the type of region you selected

Click on the Add button to open the window to add a new region.

Type in the name of the new region and click on Save.

The region that you just added will appear on the list.

Link one region to another region

Click on the name of the region you want to associate with another region.

A window at the bottom will appear called Linked Regions.

Click on Add Link to associate other existing regions to this one.

A window will open up to allow you to choose the other regions.  Add the regions you want to link, and then click on Save.

Links are not hierarchical

Region linking is non hierarchical in VetView, only relational.  VetView cannot distinguish between Oconee County, GA or Oconee County, SC.  We have a planned improvement for a future version to include a potential hierarchical structure for city, states, and counties, but it is not present as of version 2.0.5.
