Steps

Basic Workflow - Create an inventory count event and capture to current inventory quantities on hand by inventory area. Area can be divided by inventory locations in the parent area.

Post Conditions

Inventory transaction logs for any adjustments made during the count. log of counts at the time of the count.

\uD83D\uDCD4 Basic Workflow

  1. Access the inventory count screen through the main navigation. The search screen shows current and previous count events. New inventory count events are created from the search screen. The inventory location is optional.

  2. When the inventory count is started a snapshot of the current inventory for the area and/or location is created. Inventory will be grouped by Product then Location. Each row will dynamically expand if multiple locations and / or inventory details like: Expiration, Lot, Manufacturer, Serial Number, or NDC. By default, the screen loads in the compact view.

  3. Inventory counts are captured, and each line has an indicator that it has been completed.

  4. Any expiration dates past or counts that differ from the quantity on hand will be highlighted.

  5. Adjustments can be annotated to be a specific type of adjustment, by using the right click menu or the pancake menu at the end of the row.

  6. An adjustment detail section will be added, where the type of adjustment can be selected with a comment. The adjustment value will default to the difference between the quantity on hand and the count, if the count is already populated.

  7. Progress can be saved before completing the count. Each row modified will be indicated until changes have been saved.

  8. The Checkmark icon at the beginning of the row indicates that a value has been entered into the count field, helping to quickly see which items have not been completed and overall progress.

  9. Once count is complete, click the “Complete Count” menu option. This will post changes to the inventory records and lock the inventory count as a log.
