Hospital Admissions

The Admissions Page is used to create pre-admissions for new and existing patients, and then to check in the patient once they have arrived for an appointment.

Privilege	Type	Definition
Admissions	Page Access	Grants access to the Admissions Screen via the patient record. If a user does not have this privilege, then they cannot access the PA screen from the patient record.
Add Client To Admission	Feature	Allows the user to add owners, RDVMs, and clinics on the Admission Screen
Add Patient to Admission	Feature	Allows the user to add patients on the Admission screen
Add Pre-Admission Attachments	Feature	Grants permission for the user to upload attachments via the PA screen. Without this privilege, the attachments may be viewed, but the Attach Document button is not visible.
Create Admissions	Feature	Grants permission to the user to create a new pre-admission for a patient. Without this privilege, the New Admission button will not be visible.
Edit Admissions	Feature	Allows the user to make changes and save them to an existing pre-admission.
Mark Admission as cancelled / no show	Feature	Allows the user to cancel an admission, or mark it as a no-show
Mark Admission as on Hold	Feature	Allows the user to mark a PA as "On Hold" if the status of the admission is uncertain. Without this privilege, the Hold button should not be visible.
Remove Admission Cancelled/No Show Status	Admin Feature	Admin override to return a Cancelled or No-Show status back to pre-admitted status. Without this privilege, the user cannot undo the cancellation or no-show status.
Remove Admission Hold Status	Admin Feature	Admin override to return a Hold status pre-admission back to a pre-admitted status. Without this privilege, the user cannot remove Hold status.
Search Admissions	Page Access	Grants the user the ability to search for admissions via the Admission Search page. Without this privilege, the user cannot access the Admissions Search from the Navigation menu.
