How do I search for specific PA that I want to schedule?

If you already know the PA Number for the patient's admission, you can enter this directly in the search screen to bring up.

This PA can be dragged directly onto the schedule screen to create a new appointment, or you can drag it to the task panel to create a drop off or a pickup up task.

How do I search for a past or future appointment for a specific patient?

The easiest way to search for an appointment for a specific patient is to go to the Appointment Search screen and search for the patient's name or case number.

This screen can be accessed via the Navigation menu but also from the Search link on the Schedule screen.

Enter the case number, patient's name (animal ID), PA#, etc, and then click on Search.

A list of all appointments, past and future, will appear.

How do I search for appointments associated with other criteria, such as unit or employee?

Vetview's new Appointment Search Screen allows you to quickly look for all appointments that have specific criteria.  

With this screen, you can search for any of the following or a combination of:

  • PA#
  • Animal ID (Name)
  • Nickname
  • Case No
  • Main Reason
  • Client
  • Employee
  • Unit
  • Appointment Type
  • Include or Exclude Field Service
  • Episode Status
  • Appointment Status
  • Appointment Task Type
  • Created Date Range
  • Appointment Date Range

This tool can be used to build a list of all the appointments that meet the included search parameters. 

For example, you can use the reason "hip" in combination with Orthopedics and a date range to find all the patients who had an appointment scheduled for hip problems in a given year.    Or you can use this to search for all the appointments that were scheduled for a specific clinician in the future who will no longer be available, so you can build a list to reschedule.  

How do I search for orphaned appointments that were off-schedule and without a time slot?

The Appointment Search screen allows you to search for appointments that are associated with a time slot, which were previously associated with a time slot but lost it due to schedule changes, or which were added directly to the schedule as an appointment with no time slot (free form.)  The default is Any to display all appointments, both with and without time slots.

Appointments without a time slot can be rescheduled if desired. If you select all and click on the Reschedule button, they will all be transferred to the appropriate schedule screen as a Working Appointment in the left panel.
