An Inventory Transfer Request can be created using for Products that have reached the ‘Minimum Stock Quantityof the products contained in an Inventory Area.

Infotip

Before using this function, be sure to set the Minimum Stock Quantity' for the Products in the affected Inventory Area.

Tip

In order to have access to create an Inventory Transfer Requests:

One of the following must apply:

  • The User is assigned to the Destination Inventory Area (Hospital Unit), and has the 'Inventory Transfer' Elevated Privilege; OR,

  • The User is a member of a Security Role that is assigned to the Destination Inventory Area (Hospital Unit), and has the 'Inventory Transfer' Elevated Privilege.

The Quantity to be Ordered or Transferred is calculated as the ‘Reorder Quantity' minus the ‘Quantity on Hand’ and the ‘Pending Quantities’ from Purchase Orders and/or Inventory Transfer Requests that have not been ‘Received’.

To Create an Inventory Transfer Request using the Minimum Stock QuantityQuantities:

  1. Navigate to the ‘Inventory Transfer Request Search’ screen.

  2. Click the ‘Min Stock ‘Minimum Quantity Transfer Request’ button; OR,

  3. Click the ‘New Inventory Transfer Request’ button.

    1. The ‘New Inventory Transfer Request’ dialog will open.

  4. Select the ‘Source Area’, ‘Destination Area’ Source Inventory Area, Destination Inventory Area, and optional the ‘Date Needed’, which is optional.

  5. Select the ‘Auto add items below min stock minimum quantity levels’ checkbox.

  6. Click the ‘Save’ button; OR,

  7. Click the ‘Cancel’ button to cancel the operation and close the popup.

  8. The ‘Inventory Transfer Request’ screen will open.

  9. The Products that have reached the ‘Minimum Stock Quantity’ for the Inventory Area, have been added to the Inventory Transfer Request.

    1. Rows that are highlighted in red, represent Products with Inventory that have has reached the ‘Minimum Stock Qty’Quantity’ for the Inventory Area.

  10. ‘Pending Qty’

    The ‘Requested Qty’ is automatically populated, and based on the :

  11. ‘Reorder Qty’ minus

  12. ‘Qty on Hand' minus

  13. ‘Reorder Qty’, minus the Quantity on Hand and the Pending Quantity from Inventory Transfer Requests and Purchase Orders that have not been received.

  14. Click the ‘Add Items Below Minimum Stock Quantity’ button to add the items if they have not already been added. If any are duplicated, they will not be added again.

  15. To find the ‘Reorder Qty’, right-clicking the row that represents the Product, and select the ‘Edit Minimum Stock Qty’ menu option.

Tip

In order to have access to the ‘Edit Minimum Stock Qty’ option, one of the following must apply:

  • The User is assigned to the Inventory Area (Hospital Unit), and has the 'Inventory' Elevated Privilege; OR,

  • The User is a member of a Security Role that is assigned to the Inventory Area (Hospital Unit), and has the 'Inventory' Elevated Privilege.
