Purchase Receiving

Expired

Inventory was removed because it had reached the Expiration Date.

This is an Inventory Adjustment.

Inventory Count

An adjustment of the Available Inventory Quantity during Inventory Reconciliation.

Lost

Inventory was Lost and unaccounted for.

This is an Inventory Adjustment.

Product Setup

New Inventory was added for this product in this location

on the Purchase Order Receiving screen, from the vender.  

Transfer Receiving

New Inventory was added for this product in this location on the Inventory Transfer screen.

Transferred Out

This quantity of inventory was sent to a different location and deducted. 

Transferred In

This quantity of inventory was transferred to this location from a different location.

Waste

This quantity of inventory was wasted.   Waste should be used for inventory items that are damaged or otherwise unusable, but not expired.

Lost

This quantity of inventory was lost and could not be accounted for.  Lost should be used for inventory items that cannot be found in any location. 

Expired

This quantity of inventory went past the expiration date and had to be discarded. 

Sold

This quantity of inventory was sold via an Order and was deducted from the inventory area associated with the unit or order.

Used

This quantity of inventory was used by the unit, although not necessarily charged to the client via an Order.  For example, if a product was included in a surgery kit, it was used and removed from inventory, but it is the surgery package that will be sold.

Reconciliation

An adjustment of the inventory value based on Inventory Reconciliation. 

Product Setup

New Inventory was added for this product in this location on the Product Setup screen.

Inventory Count

An adjustment of the inventory value based on the Inventory Count screen.

Purchase Receiving

A Purchase Order Delivery was Received.

Reconciliation

An adjustment of the Available Inventory Quantity during Inventory Reconciliation.

Sold

Inventory was reduced when the Product was Sold.

This transaction is recorded when the Order is ‘Closed’.

Transfer Receiving

An Inventory Transfer Request Item was ‘Received’ (Stocked).

Transferred In

An Inventory Transfer Request Item was ‘Pulled' by the Source Inventory Area for the Destination Inventory Area.

Two transactions occur when Inventory Transfer Request Items are ‘Pulled’:

  1. The ‘Transferred Out’ transaction records the decrease in Inventory for the Source Inventory Area, from the Inventory Location from which it was Pulled.

  2. The ‘Transferred In’ transaction records the increase in Inventory for the Destination Inventory Area, into the Default Inventory Location. The Default Inventory Location is either:

    1. The location of the most recent receipt; or,

    2. The ‘Default Inventory Location’ that was configured for the ‘Destination Inventory Area via the ‘Hospital Setup’ screen → ‘Unit Setup’ tab → ‘Unit Details’ subtab → 'Use For’ section.

Transferred Out

An Inventory Transfer Request Item was ‘Pulled' by the Source Inventory Area for the Destination Inventory Area.

Two transactions occur when Inventory Transfer Request Items are ‘Pulled’:

  1. The ‘Transferred Out’ transaction records the decrease in Inventory for the Source Inventory Area, from the Inventory Location from which it was Pulled.

  2. The ‘Transferred In’ transaction records the increase in Inventory for the Destination Inventory Area, into the Default Inventory Location. The Default Inventory Location is either:

    1. The location of the most recent receipt; or,

    2. The ‘Default Inventory Location’ that was configured for the ‘Destination Inventory Area via the ‘Hospital Setup’ screen → ‘Unit Setup’ tab → ‘Unit Details’ subtab → 'Use For’ section

Used

Pharmacy Products are ‘Used’ on a Prescription. When the Order that the Pharmacy Product is on Closes, the Transaction Type changes to ‘Sold’.

Waste

Inventory was Wasted.

Waste should be used for Inventory that is damaged or otherwise unusable, but not necessarily Expired.

This is an Inventory Adjustment.
