Hospital Request Search Screen

The Hospital Request Search Screen is comprised of two sections:  A top search section to enter the search parameters, and a bottom section to display the search results row by row.

This screen is accessed by using the Requests button on the Header bar, or under Request Screen in Navigation.

Search for Requests

Requests can be searched for using a variety of parameters.  You can search for specific patients, search for all requests for a unit, and also filter by specific flags on a request to identify requests in a particular stage of a workflow to transition along.  Requests can also be set by date.

Set Default Search

If you only work with requests for a specific unit or status, you can set up your search parameters once and then click on Set Default Search.  This sill store your search parameters in the system, and load them every time you visit this screen, so you don't have to enter them egain.

For example, if your primary use of this screen is to Review requests from Neurology, then set the Unit and the status, and click on Set Default Search.

Request Search Results

After clicking on Search, the results will appear in a list on the bottom half of this screen.

To view the Request Details,  click on the binoculars icon on the left column.

Sorting Requests

Requests can be sorted by most of the columns on this screen.

The most common method of sorting would be by Priority, or Requested Dated.  For more specific searches, you can also sort by patient, owner, or request status.

Customizing your search output

If there is a column that you do not use in your workflow, you can remove it from the search results.

For example, if your requests don't use a priority sort, you can remove the Priority column.  Right click and choose Remove Column.

You can also add columns back, or rearrange them by moving them left and right on this screen.
