Overview

  • Provides the ability to add, edit, and delete Discount Package Items.

 Features of the Discount Billing Package subtab ...
  • Expiration - The number of days that will be added to the date that the Billing Package was added to the order to determine the expiration date of the Discount Package.  The life of the Discount Package starts when it is added to the bill - not when the order closes.
  • Maximum Discount Amount - The total amount of discounts that can be purchased in within before the Expiration Date.
  • Item Discount - The percentage that is applied to the Item Unit Price to determine the Discount Amount.
  • Discount Items - Can be defined by either the Product Line, or individual Products.
  • Period - Defined as a Day, Week, Month, or Year within which the Maximum Per Period quantity can be purchased at the Discount %.
  • Maximum Per Period - The number of sales units of the item, or items within a product line, that can be purchased at a discount within each Period.

Navigation

  1. Click the 'Navigation' button on the VetView button bar at the top of the screen.

  2. Select the 'Product Setup' hyperlink.

  3. Search for a Billing Package product.

  4. Select the product and click the 'Edit' button; or, click on the 'Product Name' hyperlink.
  5. Click on the 'Package' tab, then the 'Discounts' subtab.
    1. The Product Type must be 'Package' for the 'Package' tab to appear.
The availability of menu items is controlled by privileges that are assigned to each user, so the 'Navigation Menu' will not look the same for all users.
