The VetView Request System is the method by which work or tasks are exchanged between the various Hospital Units, as well as to external systems such as VetView Labs or third party imaging equipment. Requests are separate and distinct from a unit's internal medical record documents, and many features within VetView have been developed to support the needs of request units.

Request Number: This is a unique identifier associated with each request. A patient may have multiple requests during each visit. Throughout the system, any Request number that appears as an underlined blue link will jump to that request in the Request screen.
Requests in Mail: Requests can be set to trigger event notifications and emails or VetView mail messages to interested parties on initiation, request, approval, competition, etc
Requests in the Patient Record: Requests will appear as a unique object in each episode of the patient record. You can open the request by clicking the link, and also perform actions directly on the request if you have the appropriate Unit membership and privileges.
