API Setup - Messaging Profile (HL7 Post - Auth Token)

Example Message Profile for ASF (HL7)
- To report to the NAHLN: Username, Password, and Certificate or Authentication Token are required
- Failure Email should forward to someone who has VetView admin privileges and can monitor these messages for issues
- The Schema Definition is not required, but if present the API will validate the message before posting it to the NAHLN website.
Message Type: NAHLN OPU_R25 - HL7
- MSH.3 Sending Application is your Laboratories OID. OID Registry
- MSH.4 Sending Facility is your Laboratories Premise ID
- MSH 5 & 6 are NAHLN's information.
- Other values will vary depending on your lab's requirements

Specimen Settings
NALHN only allows two specimen types for ASF testing. Ensure that the appropriate SNOMED code is in the specimen setup. (Common Setup Data > Specimen Setup.)
These codes are permanent and only need to be set once per specimen.

- Whole Blood Code: 258580003
Test Setup - Messaging Profile
Messaging profile must be set up for each test in your lab system that will be reported for this disease.
Choose the profile you had defined under the Job and Interface Setting for this test.
- OCR.4 When a Reference Number Authority is selected, please include a reference number in the accession header for each accession.
- OBR.31 Setup up a test catalog question that is restricted to a value list of acceptable reasons for submission (defined under Laboratory Setup > Value List Setup.)
- OBX.5 This value should be the result name that holds the CT value in test setup
- OBX.8 This value should be the result name that holds the interpretation in test setup. This should be restricted to a value list with only the NAHLN approved interpretation results (NDET).
