Overview
Click the 'Navigation' button on the VetView button bar at the top of the screen.
Click the 'Hospital Setup' hyperlink.
The availability of menu items is controlled by privileges that are assigned to each user, so the 'Navigation Menu' will not look the same for all users.
The 'Hospital Setup' screen will open.
- Select the 'Hospital' from the drop-down list.
- Select the 'Unit Setup' tab.
- Select the 'Unit', to be configured as an Inventory Area, from the list of Hospital Units.
- Select the 'Unit Details' subtab.
- Update the 'Inventory Area' and 'Auto Receive Inventory' options.

Setup a Hospital Unit as an Inventory Area
Navigate to the 'Hospital Setup' screen.
- Select the 'Hospital' from the drop-down list.
- Select the 'Unit Setup' tab.
- Select the 'Unit', to be configured as an Inventory Area, from the list of Hospital Units.
- Select the 'Unit Details' subtab.
- Update the 'Inventory Area' and 'Auto Receive Inventory' options.
Selecting the 'Inventory Area' option will make the Hospital Unit appear on the 'Inventory Area' drop-down lists for selection on inventory-related screens.
Selecting the 'Auto Receive Inventory' option will bypass the 'Inventory Transfer Receiving' screen when inventory is transferred to the Inventory Area. When the status of the Inventory Transfer Request Item is updated to 'Transferred', it will automatically be received into the Inventory Area at the default 'Inventory Location'.

Setup Requirements
The Inventory Transfer Receiving functionality is not currently available; therefor, each Hospital Unit that is designated as an Inventory Area, must also be set to 'Auto Receive Inventory'.
Each Inventory Area must also be assigned a 'Default Inventory Location'.
