How do I modify or delete an Accession template?

Accession Templates allow you to create a quick copy of an accession that is done on a routine basis for a specific client.

How do I modify a template?

Once created, an accession template cannot be directly modified.

To modify a template,  create a new accession.  Apply the existing template that you want to modify.

Make your changes on the accession, but do not release the accession just yet.

Then click Create Template and save your changed form under a different name.

You can then ask your lab administrator to delete the older template, if it will no longer be used.

How do I delete a template that will no longer be used?

Templates are stored on a per lab basis.

To delete a template, go to Lab Setup > Accession Setup and scroll down to the templates subsection.

Select the row with the template you want to delete, and click on the red X.

The template will be removed, and will no longer be listed under new accessions for that lab.

How do I change the template name?

You can change the name of a template from the Lab Setup screen by clicking on the Edit button.

A small window will open to allow you to change the name and description.

To modify the template itself, follow the instructions above to create a new template with the changes and save it.
