GlobalVetLink

Description: This job checks and sends update messages from the Laboratory to the external submitting hospital/clinic.

Job Settings

Errors should be sent to a VetView user with admin privileges who is able to monitor and watch for the messages, such as a systems administrator.

Additional Settings

You will need a Username, Password, API Key, and API Token issued by Global Vet Link.

You will also need a folder to store the certificates that Global Vet Link issues in response to each test. (These certificates become linked to the Accession and can be easily downloaded there for clients.)

Under Request Import Settings, be sure that the Lab and Request Client are selected, and the correct catalog items for the tests to be reported for Coggins.

Required Lab Test Setup

The test that will have its results reported to GlobalVetLink should have Global Vet Link settings under Electronic Messaging Setup.

The limited GVL interface currently only sends results via their FTP uploader and/or downloading the GVL EIA certificate once the result has been authorized on the GVL site.

Result Value should be linked to the test result in Result Definition that contains a valid list of EIA results.

Associate should be linked to the test result in Result Definition that contains a valid list of registered technicians with Global Vet Link.

Both of these test results should be created with a unique Value List to ensure the data is captured in the correct format for Global Vet Link.

Global Vet Link Log

This log tracks both the Certificate Downloads for each requested Coggins upload, and the result of the upload itself.

If the test fails its upload, it may need to be manually resent.

Click on the blue to go to the Accession.

The Certificate is linked in the Accession and can be downloaded from there.

The Result Upload section displays the status, and has a Send Now button to attempt to resend the result to Global Vet Link.
