General Overview
Description: This job checks and sends update messages from the Laboratory to the external submitting hospital or clinic.
Job Settings
The job settings for this include an email address to notify for any errors, and the timer for which this process should run.
VetView strongly recommends having a dedicated API server to process jobs.
Required VetView Lab Settings
In order for a Request Status update message to be sent, the submitting client (usually a clinic) will need to have a valid email address.
(For VetView Hospital clients, the system status notices can alternately be sent via VetView mail.)
Lab Requests submitted through the online VetView Portal can also have their status verified by logging in to the portal.
Messages are simple and cannot be customized. Messages sent for clients connected to a VetView Hospital will also include hot links to the request.
