Portal User Management Privileges
The Portal User Management system allows an administrator to create and modify users on the external client-facing portal. Because the primary users of the Portal are clients, and not employees of the hospital, the username and password system is managed separately.
However, clients in VetView can easily be linked to the portal usernames, granting limited access to patient records as permitted by Portal setup. External users can also request an account using the stock VetView Portal, or using a custom API interface developed by your hospital.

| Access Portal User Rights (Versions 3.0 and earlier) | Controls access to managing users for both Labs and Hospital under the Web Portal Account Management screen and Client. Without his privilege, a user with Portal User Management may search on the Web portal Account Management screen, but cannot access any of the records. | |
| Access Hospital Portal User Rights (3.1) | Controls access to managing users on the Hospital screens for Web Portal Account Management and Client. | Access Lab Portal user Rights (3.1) | Controls access to managing users on the Lab screens for Web Portal Account Management and Client.
