Billing / Inventory Pick List Setup
The Billing Pick Lists and Inventory Pick Lists are shortcut lists that you can build for your most common services and products. These pick lists also allow you to limit the availability of items to add to the bill to the specific products and services, reducing confusion when your hospital has thousands of similarly named products. Note that pick lists are different from Product Packages, which are fixed sets of items or discounts on items that can be put together as a single product, and also different from Multi-Item Products, which combine multiple products into a single product to be sold as a single unit.
However, pick lists can greatly speed up the billing process for routine care by grouping the most likely items into a single place where they can be added to the bill without manually looking up each one. Catalog Pick Lists are also available for catalog based services, but those are built on the Catalog Setup pages. Estimate Pick Lists are available on their own Estimate Setup tab in Product Setup, and unlike the billing pick lists, are available to your front desk and client coordinators without needing to give them rights to Order Management.

Pick Lists can be sub divided into any categories you wish. You can group them by specific procedures, or you can group them by products and services.
The purpose of the pick is is to make it easy to find the most commonly billed items within a unit. Uncommon items that are not on a pick list can still be added to the bill.

Add a unique name for the category, and a description if desired.
Click on Save to store the Category.

Products can be looked up using the line and sequence number, or by searching for a key word in the product name.

Click on the Save button to finish adding the Item to the pick list.
Ordering Categories and Items
Both the Category and the Item lists can have a manual sort order applied. This will affect how they appear on the pick list on the Order page.

For very large lists, the Sort List option will do an automatic sort for you.
You can sort alphabetically, or by line and sequence number.
