Administrative Functions

Grants access to the Administrative Functions screen.  This screen contains admin features added to VetView for hospital managers to alter data directly.

Execute SQL

Controls access to the Execute SQL feature on Administrative Functions.

Note: This screen should be reserved for emergency DBA and system administrator access only, for when remote access to the database via an IDE is unavailable.

Mass Write-off

Controls access to the Mass Write-off screen within Administrative Functions.

Note: This screen should be reserved for senior accountant access only, for writing off client accounts that will no longer be collected against.

Recalculate Client Receipt Balances

Allows a user to recalculate running client receipt balances.  As this function is processor intensive, it has been hidden behind admin functions.   A log of changes will display.  Individual open orders can still be recalculated on the Order Management screen.

Client Merge

Grants Access to the Mass Client Merge feature on Administrative Functions (future development; not actually active in VetView 5.0.2 at this time, but the privilege is still present.)

Aggregate Inventory

Automatically collapses inventory with matching attributes into a single row in the database.

Note: If this task has never been performed, it may take a long time on first execution. Perform this task after hours or overnight to avoid locking up the database during working hours.
