Field | Description |
---|---|
Apply to Limits | Counts against the Hospital and individual client's maximum ASAQ limit, and visit limits. Procedures should have this flag turned on, as these rebates are subject to annual hospital, client, and visit limits. Lab Work is not subject to annual hospital, client, or visit limits, so for all lab services this flag should be disabled, regardless of whether the work is performed internal or external to the hospital. |
Don't Report to ASAQ | This is a designation for lab services done outside of the hospital , which are covered under a different contract. However, turning on this flag will still allow for the percent paid rebate to be provided to the client. Qualifying lab work will be submitted by the performing lab when applicable. |
Percent Paid | The amount of this product or service's cost that will be paid by ASAQ, resulting in a discount to the client on their bill in the form of an adjustment. Qualifying lab services should be reimbursed 100% |
For any of the above rules to be applied to a patient's order:
- The treating clinician must have a valid ASAQ number on the employee record
- The client must have an active ASAQ account
- The patient must have an active ASAQ case
- The visit must be identified as an ASAQ visit. Rebate limits are applied for procedures on a maximum per day basis.
- The product or service must have this ASAQ flag turned on
Additional ASAQ Information:
The rebates that apply to the charges on an order (bill) should be applied as adjustments to each of the applicable charge. The adjustments should be displayed with the charge on the Client’s bill. For the lab work, the rebate is applied as a credit adjustment that covers the cost of the lab charge. 'Honorary Fees’ or ‘Professional Fees’ are also reimbursed by ASAQ. They are defined as a sub-product of a multi-item product. Only the ‘professional fee’ product is identified as an ASAQ-qualified charge. To determine which charges should be reimbursed, VetView must examine the subordinate charges in addition to the parent charge. If the parent charge is identified as an ASAQ-qualified charge, all of the included child charges should be considered to be ASAQ-qualified
