Hospital Appointment Reminders Job

The Hospital Appointment Reminders job checks your schedules for upcoming appointments based on the individual schedule's settings, and sends an email to clients reminding them about the appointment.

Job Settings

This job contains the standard API Job settings.  The Active Flag indicates that the job is available to start.  Auto Start will start the job when the server is restarted.  The Server to run this Job On selects a server from all those connected to the database to run this job on.  VetView recommends that you have a single server dedicated to running API jobs on, separate from your user facing production servers, to prevent certain CPU intensive API jobs from causing user lag.

Select the hour to run this job from the list.  Since an email notification will be sent to clients, this job may be better to schedule during business hours.

Appointment Reminder Log

The API job will capture a list of communications sent.  You can filter this list to see only communications sent to specific patients, in a specific status, or during a date range.

Message Details

Select a row to view more details about a message.  This window will load at the bottom half of the Log screen.  (If a message is in Failed status, further details for the Email body will not display since no email was sent, but you can still identify the patient, appointment, unit, episode, etc. )
