UVIS Accounting Migration Job

UVIS Accounting Migration Job
The UVIS Accounting Migration Job is for legacy UVIS schools to import their existing client accounts into VetView. This function should be done as part of the initial migration during Go Live, and after that it can safely be disabled.
.
Job Settings
At the top are the standard settings, similar to all other jobs in VetView. The Active Flag indicates the job is turned on and available to start. Auto Start will turn this job on when the server starts.
The Server to Run this On has a list of all the servers connected to the database. VetView strongly recommends having a dedicated API server, separate from any user facing production servers. For the purposes of UVIS migration in particular, this step should be done before the system is put into production Go Live, so this job should not have as large an impact on production. However, the job itself is very processor intensive, and should be the only job running until migration is complete, a process that can take as long as 24 hours for some accounts.
Additional Job Settings
These are the UVIS table to VetView table conversions.
UVIS Accounting Migration Log
This tab contains three subtabs that show the status of the migration, the status of individual client accounts, and a log of the process.
Accounting Migration
The Accounting Migration Tab displays the current status of the migration process in real time. VetView runs migration as a multi-threaded process to speed it up, but certain large accounts can take longer (some accounts with thousands of invoices may take hours.) The multi-threaded process in parallel allow the system to continue to churn through the accounts without getting bottlenecked on the larger ones.
You also have the option of re-processing single clients after a failed migration, if steps were taken to clean up the data in the UVIS tables that were causing the errors.
During the migration process, this is the primary screen that should be monitored.
Client Account Status Search
The status of a range of clients or specific clients can be looked up on the Client Account Status Search. Note that only clients with existing UVIS transactions will have the import process completed.
Client names that are bold and blue can be opened in another tab using CTRL+Click to review their transactions.
Migration Log
This lets you look up the date and time stamps that individual accounts were formally migrated from UVIS to VetView.
