Patient Reminders Tab

View List of Patient Reminders

This tab contains a summary of all of the Patient Reminders that were turned on for this patient, and their current status.

Reminders that are Incomplete can also be modified on this page, if the user has the rights to edit a reminder.

You can expand a reminder to see the details.  Internal reminders are indicated with a filled checkbox in the last column.

Edit a Reminder

To edit a reminder, mouse over the last column to display the edit pencil icon.  

Click on this icon to open the full Patient Reminder window.

The top of this window contains a brief summary of the patient and current primary owner.  The Reminder Name, due date, unit, optional DVM, and the status appear in the top half of this window as well.

Schedule a Reminder

If a Reminder has had an appointment scheduled against it, it will appear in the section labeled "Scheduled."  Click on the Add Appointment icon on the right to jump to the schedule screen and add this reminder as a new PA and schedule an appointment against it.  (User must have Schedule Screen privileges to open this page.)   Internal Reminders can also be set up to appear on the Schedule screen directly, if your scheduling unit is in charge of call backs.

This reminder will appear in the left hand panel on the schedule screen as a "working reminder."  Drag and drop it onto the schedule to create the PA and appointment automatically.  

On the Patient Record Reminders tab, the status will change to Scheduled automatically, and the details now appear in the Scheduled section.

Add or Delete Reminder Items

Additional items can be included in your reminders.  For example, if your reminder is for an annual exam, but you also want to remind the owner that the rabies shot will be due, you can add that as a separate reminder item.    (Only items that were associated with this reminder on the Reminder Setup are available to include on the same reminder.)

Click on the Plus sign to add a new Reminder Item.

A drop down menu and comment box will appear.  

Select the item you want to add, and enter any comments.  Then click on the small check mark to complete adding the item.

To edit or delete a Reminder Item, mouse over the right hand side in-line to the item.  A pencil icon to edit and a red X to delete the reminder item will appear.

The pencil icon will open up the same drop down menu and comment box as the Add New button did.  Clicking on the red X will remove the reminder item entirely.

If a Reminder has been marked as Completed, then a screen check mark appears next to the Reminder Item in this section.

Reminder Communication Log

The Communication Log for the patient record appears on this window, in a limited format.   For users who completed a call to the owner, this can be used to add a record of the communication without having to exit back to the patient record.
